ABOUT US

Adventure brings us together

Eric and I met sailing a beautiful 40 ft Hunter on the Columbia River between the lush borders of both Oregon and Washington. Eric will say that he had his eye on me from the beginning, but I didn’t have a clue, even after he asked me to have coffee that one day in November 2018. By February, my entire world was different and so was my worldview.

My mother, who I was certain would outlive me, was diagnosed with 4th stage metastatic breast cancer last November. Talk about the ugly crybaby face…that was me.

This is a woman who worked hard her entire life– twelve-hour days most days, except for weekends, which were spent on the go, hiking or camping in the mountains. And that was after she was a crazy homesteader in BFE for my nine to fifteen year age range. Before that, she worked hard outside the home and had had two and three jobs most of my early childhood. She never smoked; rarely drank. She didn’t even do drugs in the 70’s. In November, all I saw was a still vibrant woman who was six months away from retirement and who was now given six months to six years to live.

So, I moved in with Eric, sold my car, quit my go-no-where-job in May 2019 and started my dream quest of using the power of the pen to uplift, illustrate, promote, and celebrate all those things that life has to offer in this moment, right now – After all, we uniquely share this lifetime with all others living right now too. Do your dreams, good people. I will too.

It is also my quest to provide a platform for helping others create their own narratives through their personal adventures. Sharing our story is part of the reason why we are here together on earth right now, being human and all. Your story may very well change someone’s life.

What wonderful people we have met along the way
